Alternative Weddings at Mount Druid – Where vintage chic and the beauty of nature meet.
Situated in the picturesque village in County Westmeath, Mount Druid is an exquisite private wedding venue set in a parkland of 100 acres.
The purpose built Tin Chapel, Boathouse and Barn nestle sympathetically into the landscape and offer the opportunity for a bespoke wedding to remember in one of Ireland’s most beautiful, quirky alternative wedding venues.
The Tin Chapel – Marriage ceremonies can be carried out in the “unconsecrated” Tin Chapel, an intimate, alternative and quaint gathering space nestled among the pine trees.
The Boathouse – After your Ceremony in the Tin Chapel, guests will enjoy a leisurely stroll across the hill to The Boat House for a drinks reception with canapes. This is an inviting space, tastefully adorned with art and antique furniture. When the weather is kind, guests can take their drinks outside by the lake and capture those photographic moments on the deck by the summer house.
The Barn – Step into the Atrium, a stunning light filled space, resplendent with a Jacobean library and an abundance of soft furnishings in which to relax before or after your meal. A grand piano sits in the corner of the room inviting your guests to play. The converted Barn is a unique wedding venue – custom designed for your wedding meal. It is decorated in a gorgeous combination of vintage chic with antique and restored furniture, Arts and crafts wallpaper frame the entrance into a beautiful garden room, where you can relax by the wood burning stove while taking in the lovingly restored walled garden.
